Yavapai County Sheriff Records Fees

Standard reports cost $5.00 for the first 10 pages. Each additional page adds $0.50. Most incident reports fall within the base fee. Statistical reports that require research cost $20 per report.

Payment options include cash (exact amount), personal checks, business checks, money orders, and cashier's checks. Unlike many Arizona agencies, Yavapai County does accept personal checks for police records payments.

Crime victims get free access to records from their case under Arizona law. Identify yourself as a victim when you submit your request. Staff will verify your connection before waiving the fee. This covers reports, audio, and video from your incident.

Yavapai County Police Records Online

For accident reports, use the LexisNexis BuyCrash portal. You can search for traffic collision reports by date, location, or name. Reports typically cost $5 plus a service fee. They are available 5 to 14 days after the crash.

The sheriff's office does not have a full online request system for other Yavapai County police records. Submit requests by email, mail, or in person at one of the substations listed above. Email requests work well for simple reports.

Arizona Public Records Access

ARS 39-121 requires public records be available for inspection during office hours. This includes Yavapai County police records held by the sheriff. You do not need to provide a reason for your request.

Some records have access limits. Active investigations stay closed until the case is done. Records involving minors get names redacted. Personal information like home addresses may be removed before release. The sheriff follows state law when deciding what to withhold.
